These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of skill-space.com and related services (the "Platform") operated by SkillSpace ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

2. The Platform
SkillSpace provides online courses, certificates, downloads, and community features for privacy and compliance professionals. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Platform at any time.
3. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account
- Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access
4. Courses, purchases, and access
- Course descriptions, prices, and inclusions are shown at the point of purchase
- Payment is processed by our payment providers
- After successful payment, you receive access to the course or content you bought, subject to these Terms
- Access is for your personal learning use only and may not be shared, resold, or redistributed
- Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy
5. Certificates
Certificates may be issued when stated course requirements are met. We may withhold or revoke a certificate if we reasonably believe requirements were not met or these Terms were breached.
6. Intellectual property
Courses, videos, materials, downloads, branding, and other Platform content are owned by SkillSpace. You may use them only for your own learning through the Platform. You may not copy, record, share, republish, or commercially exploit Platform content without our prior written permission.
7. Community and user content
If you use community features, you are responsible for what you post. You must not post content that is unlawful, harmful, misleading, discriminatory, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate. We may remove content or restrict access where we reasonably consider it necessary.
You grant us a non-exclusive licence to host and display content you submit so we can operate the Platform. You keep ownership of your own content.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misuse the Platform or attempt to disrupt, scrape, or reverse engineer it
- Share account access or course materials with others
- Use the Platform for spam, fraud, or unlawful purposes
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
9. Emails
We may send service emails related to your account and purchases. We may also send emails about new content and promotional offers. You can unsubscribe from content and promotional emails at any time. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
10. Privacy
How we collect and use personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Disclaimers
Platform content is for general learning and information. It is not legal, regulatory, or professional advice. You are responsible for how you use what you learn. The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
12. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, data, or business opportunity arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Platform is limited to the amount you paid us for the relevant course or service in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the Platform. You may stop using the Platform at any time. Provisions that should reasonably survive termination (such as intellectual property and liability) will continue to apply.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use of the Platform after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
